Christopher L. Jones is an author, poet and artist living in New Haven, CT, USA. Originally born in Tucson, Arizona and a graduate of New Mexico State University with a degree in Philosophy and Theatre Arts, he has spent over twenty years contributing to the various performing arts groups in his community, mostly working in the areas of lighting and scenic design, sound design, properties design, stage management and producer.
His work has been described as "masturbating on the world’s stage in verse" and "...exactly what is wrong with the average white American male..." Christopher started writing after being introduced to poetry composition as a form of art therapy as a teenager and has not stopped since. He was co-founder of Green Thursday Theatre Project in Tucson, Arizona and served as their Technical Director and Production Stage Manager. He was the Technical Director for three seasons of Old Pueblo Playwrights' New Play Festival. He also worked for six seasons with Arizona Theatre Company in their Administration/Marketing department and was Stage Crew Head for the Utah Shakespeare Festival for the 2012 Summer and Fall season. He is currently scheduled to work as an Electrician at Goodspeed Musicals and as the Technical Director / Lighting Designer for Northernstars Playhouse 2013 Summer Season. Christopher has written over two dozen chapbooks of poetry and his novel, Waterboarded, was published with a grant from the Arts Council England. Aside from working with words, he is a single father of one. |
